ID: PC_HRS_TRAINS_003_514 DESCRIPTION: HR 55 'Clan Mackinnon' on train at Blair Atholl. HR 55 was a member of the Highland Railway's 'Clan' class of 4-6-0 passenger locomotive. It was designed by Christopher Cumming and built by Hawthorn Leslie & Co. at Newcastle in 1921. After the grouping it became LMS 14767 and continued in service until being withdrawn in February 1950. It was the only member of the class to survive into British Railways days.
