Built in 1949 by Hawthorne Leslie in Hebburn on Tyne, she was used as ferry across the River Tyne until 1963 by the Mid Tyne Ferry Co. The ship was then bought over by the Swan Hunter Shipyard and named Tyne Queen to operate along the same route. She was acquired by Jacobite Cruises in 1987 and renamed the Jacobite Queen, and is still available to charter to this day.PLACENAME:InvernessOLD COUNTY/PARISH:INVERNESS: Inverness and BonaCREATOR (AV):Jack WatsonPERIOD:2000sSOURCE:Jack WatsonCOLLECTION:Jack Watson PhotographyAsset ID:28810KEYWORDS:
