Dun Chathach, Rubha nan Carn, Loch Etive, Argyll & Bute

ID: QZP40_222_P330 DESCRIPTION: Dun Cathich or Dun Chathach sits on a prominent hill above Rubha nan Carn on the shores of Loch Etive. A dun is an ancient settlement on rising ground. This circular dun is over 18 metres in diameter and at one time the surrounding wall was about 3.5 metres thick. Today it is reduced to a low grass-covered bank. There are three gaps in the wall but it is uncertain which one would have been the entrance.
