ID:QZP40_1438_P027DESCRIPTION:Dun Dornaigil (or Dornadilla) broch (stone tower) stands about 10 miles south of Hope in Sutherland.
Only the outer wall of the broch survives and is now supported by a modern buttress. The inner wall has collapsed into the broch making it impossible to enter. Within the wall there is a stone staircase that would have lead up to narrow galleries. One of the major features of the broch is the massive triangular lintel above the entrance.
The structure is now owned by Historic Scotland.
