ID:QZP40_CARD_0891DESCRIPTION:The High Street at Rosemarkie in Ross-shire. Stone Age remains were once found underneath the site of the street, giving evidence of the village's ancient history. More than 12 Pictish stones were also found around the village churchyard suggesting the presence of a Pictish settlement during the 8th and 9th centuries. These stones can now be found at the Groam House Museum on the High Street.
