ID: QZP40_CARD_1136 DESCRIPTION: This postcard belongs to Raphael Tuck's 'Oilette' series and shows falls on the River Conon. The mountain beyond the falls may be Sgurr Marcasaidh. Shortly after leaving Loch Luichart, the River Conon pours over a series of cascades just north of Little Scatwell, before winding eastwards through Strathconon towards the Cromarty Firth. The Luichart Dam was built over the Falls of Conon during the building of the Conon Hydro-Electric Scheme between 1946 and 1961.
