ID:QZP40_CARD_2408DESCRIPTION:Norman Magnus MacLeod was born in 1839, the eldest son of Norman the 25th Chief who died in 1895. Norman Magnus served with the Army in India and then in 1878, was appointed as Political Agent on the Transvaal border at the outbreak of the Zulu Wars.
He is pictured here in full Highland dress, with the eagle feathers denoting his status as Chief in his bonnet, looking from the courtyard of the Castle out over Loch Dunvegan.
