ID:QZP40_CARD_6036DESCRIPTION:The Earl's Cross in Dornoch, Sutherland. The cross was erected to commemorate a bloody battle which is thought to have occurred on the beach of Embo in 1259. The battle was fought between Sir Richard Murray and his clansmen against a Viking raiding party.
