Today it houses the estate agents, Strutt and Parker. The original neighbouring buildings were demolished in 1968 to make way for the headquarters of the Highlands and Island Development Board. Today the site is occupied by private accommodation, restaurants and pubs.
To the right is Inverness Castle, built between 1833 and 1836.
