'The Northern Highlands in the Nineteenth Century' by James Barron was published in three volumes in 1903, 1907 and 1913. Published by Robert Carruthers and Sons of Inverness, each volume contains extracts and summaries from Highland-based newspapers covering the first 56 years of the 19th century. Vol. I contains material from Suter's 'Memorabilia' (1800-1807); the 'Inverness Journal' (1807-1817); and the 'Inverness Courier' (1817-1824). Vols.
