It reaches from the southern foot of Benmore out to Fionnphort. 'Ross' comes from the Gaelic for promontory or peninsula. The principal settlement on the peninsula is Bunessan. This image comes from a collection gifted to Edinburgh Central Library by Dr Isabel F. Grant. The collection includes photographs taken by a number of different photographers.
