ID:TCT_LIGHTPHOTO_002DESCRIPTION:The Islands Project was a planned three year collaborative project involving over twenty artists based around creative workshops focussing on three previously inhabited islands off North Uist, chosen for their strong historical and archaeological backgrounds. Vallay and Boreray were the subjects of the project in 1997 and 1998 respectively, and exhibitions of work produced as a result of these trips took place each year. Many works from Boreray were inspired by the abundance of house ruins and dead sheep.
