ID: ULMPH_2000_0294 DESCRIPTION: From left to right: Mary Kate Wallace, Mrs Mary Wallace, Alan Wallace, Dr David Wallace, Agnes Wallace. Sitting at the front is John (or Jock) Wallace. Dr David Wallace was the GP in Ullapool for many years and a leading Free Mason in the local lodge. His wife wrote a local guide book about Ullapool. Two of their four children died in World War Two - their son John while a student pilot with the RAF, and daughter Agnes, who was a nurse on the SS "City of Benares" when it was torpedoed in 1940.
