ID:ULMPH_2000_0678DESCRIPTION:The Royal Hotel in Ullapool. The hotel was built during the 19th century and is believed to have been a coaching hotel, acting as a link for the Garve to Ullapool mail coach service. The ground at the front of the hotel, where the extension and dining area can be seen, was once a stable block for the horses used on the mail coach. The hotel was almost completely destroyed by fire in 1960 and later rebuilt.
