ID:ULMPH_2000_0729DESCRIPTION:Outdoor church services were quite a common sight in the Highlands from the mid-19th century. Sometimes the local church was too small to hold the entire congregation but more likely the congregation had broken away from the established Church of Scotland in the split of 1843 and formed one of the new Presbyterian denominations.
