He is pictured alongside his party's Prospective Parliamentary Candidate for the Inverness East, Nairn and Lochaber constituency, David Stewart, who would go on to be elected at the forthcoming election held a few weeks later. Behind them are Dougie MacGillivray, then Chairman of Inverness Caledonian Thistle, and George Robertson, the Shadow Secretary of State for Scotland.
During the visit, a scratch game was organised involving pupils from Cradlehall and St Joseph’s primary schools, ICT players Charlie Christie and Richard Hastings, the club’s youth development, Danny Macdonald, as well as Tony Blair and David Stewart.
